I really like the ambiance of this restaurant. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, the inside is very welcoming and upscale, the tables are clean, and the food and drink selections are very unique. I really like that they have house-made fountain drinks and a water station. I ordered the beet and goat cheese salad which was very good. Everything was very fresh tasting, and there was a good ratio of every element. I especially liked the sweet almonds and the slight tang from the goat cheese. Overall everything was great quality and even better taste and presentation. The prices for everything are also very affordable, especially you get a big portion that you can break up into two meals (they have custom to-go containers). No complaints. Good food, good vibe and good people. I would recommend a lunch trip here if you want something fresh and delicious served quick for a great price.
I used to go out of my way to Santana Row for my Mendocino cravings (no more SR resident discount, JK) so EXCITED to find a location CLOSER to me! I've tried EVERY salad and seasonal salad and end up cycling through my top 3: Pink Lady Beets & Goat Cheese Salad Avocado Quinoa Salad Bahn Mi Salad Anyways, I defintely recommend y'all stopby and check them out while you're in the area.
Today I tried their Chicken Parm Dip: shaved, roasted chicken breast, Mendo's crispies, melted mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses, pomodoro sauce, italian basil, Calabrian chili aioli, on a toasted sesame roll (3.5/5). Pretty tasty sandwich. Pineapple Tajin Lemonade - good, tart, and tangy sweet.
Came here with a big group of friends on a Saturday night to eat with my friend for his birthday. Since we were a big group, we sat outside and it was easy to rearrange the furniture. We also had two dogs with us and we were happy that we could have them join us. The store looks new and it's in a very spacious parking lot and plaza. The service was quick and easy. Everything was clean. The only thing I ever get is the superfood avocado quinoa salad, but after looking at the menu, I decided to try their seasonal offering, the Sweet Peach & Goat Cheese Salad with shaved, roasted chicken breast, sweet peaches, hot peach honey, marinated goat cheese, honey roasted almonds, pickled red onions, fresh mint, shaved fennel, romaine, kale, mixed greens and farmhouse vinaigrette. Do yourself a favor and don't get this. The vinaigrette was so tart and the vinegar made me choke. The peaches were diced, not sliced like in the photos. The scoop of cheese was minuscule. The chicken felt like cold, refrigerated, processed chicken, not fresh. The was no balance in the dish. I ate this sadly while watching my friends get my favorite salad. This is the last time I'm trying anything new from Mendocino other than my beloved quinoa salad. Giving this four stars because everything else about the restaurant was great and I know that their avocado superfood quinoa salad is the best thing ever.
I had a Caesar chicken salad and it was very fresh. The fresh ingredients are the primary reason we went here, and it did not disappoint. The crunchy bits were a little too much, but it didn't ruin the food and the experience. The employees were on top of it despite the chaos haha The drink station looked a bit messy and needed a wipe-down when I was there, but overall, it's an open space, and the ordering process was good!
I really love their vegan banh mi sandwich, impossible chorizo salad and curries couscous. Even though vegan offerings are less, everything is delicious. Recently they introduced a mushroom Philly steak vegan sandwich, it was absolutely amazing. Tasted so damn good that I ordered it every week. But looks like they it was part of season menu and it's gone now- super disappointed about this. Service is also quick. Lunch time can get a little crowded. And they have ample parking around. Please bring back the mushroom sandwich
Cue in Rihanna's lyrics: "Where have you been All my life? All my life? Where have you been all my life?" I've always noticed Mendocino Farms but never gave much thought to it. Due to my love and recent obsessive cravings for salads, my guy decided to take the reins for dinner and brought me here... At first glance, MF was huge in size. The high ceiling and simplicity in decor added to the spaciousness. A large menu is posted as you make your way to the registers. Food essentially consists of sandwiches and salads- emphasizing in healthy eats with fresh ingredients + delicious flavors. Dinner for my family of 3: *Philly Shroomsteak [vegan] *Pink Lady Beets & Goat Cheese Salad *Kid's Crispy Chicken Tenders *Small Basil Pesto Shells [vegetarian] Food was delicious!! Every single item purchased was thoroughly enjoyed!! The crispy chicken tender was piping hot, meaty, and moist. My toddler didn't even realize the ranch provided was vegan. The Philly Shroomsteak was the most unexpected enjoyment, I'm not even sure whether or not my guy realized that this product contained no meat products. The green peppercorn aioli was great. My beet and goat cheese salad was as one of the best salads I've had- fresh, flavorful, light, yet filling. The basil pesto shells are seasonal so jump on those while you can!! 5/5 stars not only for the yummy eats but for the exceptional customer service. The staff was upbeat, kind, and helpful. I literally found myself planning my second visit and I hadn't even left the establishment yet. Lmao!! This place is legit, THAT DAMN GOOD!!!
Loving this spot with the outdoor seating available. Price: Pork Belly Bánh Mì $13.75, and Avocado Quinoa Salad $13.35. Tina's Tips: - The Pork Belly Banh Mi is actually legit. I loved it and would get it again. Pretty tasty with the mayo and spread they use to replicate the Vietnamese coffee - The must order is always the Avocado Quinoa Salad! I never "not" order this when I come to any Mendocino
